After an interest form is completed, we will contact you with a family who you will shop for. A list will be provided with requested gifts and interests of the family to guide the shopping experience. Gifts are to be wrapped and labeled with each family member's name(s). Gifts can be dropped off at our main office or picked up by a member of staff.

Yes, if you would like to adopt more than one family, please indicate this on your interest form.

All items must be new, unopened items.

Our office is located on the backside of building 601 within the Edgewood Commons community. For additional directions, please call our office 202-832-9400.

We ask that all donors schedule with the community engagement team during operating hours for in-person drop-off. For Saturday drop-offs, we ask these are scheduled at least 72 hours in advance. We discourage shipping gifts directly to the office due to our limited ability to wrap and label gifts properly. If shipping to the office directly is the only option, please contact the community engagement team before shipping items.

Yes, if families indicate that they are comfortable with this delivery option then that can be arranged by staff. This can also be indicated on the donor interest form.

All gifts are due by December 13, 2024. We always operate our Holiday Store the week before Christmas. This year, it will be held on December 16th - December 19th.

Yes, all donors will receive a Donation Record Form when they are matched with a family. We encourage our donors to complete the form as they are purchasing gifts. The form is due to E/BFSC upon delivery of the toys. E/BFSC's Partner and Development Director will review the form, sign it, and return it within 5 business days of receipt.

There is no set minimum spending requirement per child. However, we strive to provide donors with carefully curated wish lists that offer a variety of options at different price points, allowing for meaningful contributions while remaining mindful of budget considerations.
