The Advisory Board is a different way to serve
The E/BFSC Advisory Board is a volunteer, non-governing group that works alongside E/BFSC leadership and the Board of Directors to support special projects, fundraising, community engagement, partnerships, and other organizational priorities.
Advisory Board members serve as ambassadors and trusted advisors, helping E/BFSC strengthen relationships, expand resources, and increase our impact across the communities we serve.

The Advisory Board does not have legal, fiduciary, or organizational governance responsibilities — it’s a hands-on way to contribute your skills and network without board-level liability.
How the Advisory Board makes an impact

Advise
Share expertise, perspective, and feedback with E/BFSC leadership.
Connect
Introduce E/BFSC to potential donors, partners, sponsors, volunteers, and other strategic relationships.
Engage
Participate in special projects, fundraising campaigns, community activities, and organizational initiatives.
Champion
Serve as an ambassador for E/BFSC and help raise awareness of our mission and impact.

What Advisory Board service looks like
Members are asked to:
Attend at least 75% of quarterly Advisory Board meetings
Participate in at least one E/BFSC project or initiative annually
Make approximately 2–3 meaningful strategic introductions annually
Participate in E/BFSC events, fundraising, and engagement opportunities
Provide guidance and expertise in areas aligned with organizational priorities
Serve as an ambassador and champion for E/BFSC
Make a personally meaningful annual financial contribution
Follow E/BFSC confidentiality and conflict-of-interest requirements
